More About Us
Hammond is a kindergarten through fifth-grade school with an enrollment that averages around 500 students.
Bilingual services available, as are child care services before and after school. Hammond that is unique is that we have an afterschool Student Leadership program that encourages the development of strong and positive leadership skills for our students. Students support and help to facilitate school activities, participate in monthly school award assemblies, and head up activities to support and give back to the community, such as collecting food for needy families and holding a yearly coin drive that raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Oregon.
Hammond opened in 2001. It was named for Geraldine Elizabeth Hammond, who served as principal of Rosedale and Pringle elementary schools, and who also helped coordinate the district’s multicultural program.
